The saga continues as Cheri & Mari try to put on yet another pair of socks. Who would think that w/ 2 pairs of thick socks your toes could still go numb? Due to the practically sub-zero temperatures in Prague, 100% wool gloves made in Nepal have now been added to the winter warmth collection. Now if here was just some way to keep scarves dry & frost free to prevent chapped faces, everyone would be a warm & happy camper. Cheri lives w/ the fear that snot will freeze to her upper lips. Is there a name for that phobia? And Mari who maneuvered up & down the icy streets, steps, & hills of Prague w/o once falling, managed to trip while walking up the escalator & has now developed a fear of those moveable stairs, Why oh why didn’t we just go to Italy? Munich, Germany

As Christmas was spent in an enjoyable, relaxing, well-heated American environment chowing on Mac & Cheese, Cornflakes, Mexican food, and peanut butter cookies at cousins John & Terry’s residence, the tide was due to change, and now we join our friends in Munich Germany where due to the Christmas season and the ensuing lack of suitable accommodations, everybody’s favorite twins have come to the stark realization that there is not room in one twin bed for twins. As the morning dawned, our fair heroines trotted off downtown. The temperature? A supposed 12 degrees Fahrenheit. Time to buy scarves and goofy, yet warm hats that would make Mother proud. Seeing as how they weren’t sure how to get to the local art museum for their daily shot of culture, Mari and Cheri decided to spend the rest of the day shopping. They did try going to the Olympic Stadium Park but soon realized parks and freezing temperatures just don’t mix!

Paris, France

Mom & Dad!
Welcome to Mari & Cheri’s great European Christmas Extravaganza. Join us on our quest to see more, do more (and spend more–aghh) than we had previously thought possible. First stop, courtesy of the Gods of the train schedules: Paris. Though Paris was an unplanned pit stop, we have now accomplished several life time goals. No, we did not get tattoos. We went to the Louvre, world famous art museum, for our daily culture and became acquainted with the Mona Lisa. The evening found Cheri & Mari atop the Eiffel Tour for a birds-eye-view of Paris, but it was foggy and freezing, so naturally we quickly retreated to the safety of the gift shops to buy our own little Eiffel Tower. That’s it for Paris, next stop: Germany.
