Episode 6: Hey! Italy is on the way to Spain! Really!!

As we rejoin our weary travelers, Cheri & Mari are wandering around Venice, Italy staring in awe at the beauty of the canals & wishing they could afford a ride in the oh, so famous, gondola boats, but, alas, it was not meant to be… They did get to ride in the big huge water bus, though. They discovered that boy, oh boy, is there some good pizza in Italy! (even w/ the extra 12% tip & cover charge) Add a little shopping to the list & that pretty much sums up Italy! And now our heroines are homeward bound!

Episode 5: Walking in a Winter Slushyland
Vienna, Austria

Vienna, Austria

As the journey continues, Mari & Cheri find themselves in Vienna, Austria where the predominant theory seems to be “Why shovel the sidewalks if you can just cover it all with monster-sized sand?” The city is beautiful & amazing if you don’t look down and see that you are up to your knees in slush, even inside the buildings. For the first time, Cheri & Mari managed to find the elusive art museum. In fact, they went to 4 of them. They also got to visit with Anna, a friend from Baker University & JCPenney, which was great fun. That’s it for Episode 5.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague, Czech Republic

The epic continues as Cheri & Mari attempt in vain to visit numerous beautiful sights of the former capital of the Holy Roman Empire. The experienced navigators happened across Dunkin Donuts, 2 KFCs, Little Ceasars Pizza & a plethora McDonalds, but were not so lucky in their quest to find the elusive art museum. So, much time was spent browsing through Czech glass shops & contemplating the possibilities of transporting a crystal chandelier by backpack. After a mere three days of trudging across the ice packed streets of this 1,000 year old metropolis & giving coins to the old man playing the accordion on the bridge–hey, he sings too–our heroines are on their way to another ancient cultural mecca: Vienna Austria.
